Meghla Porjatan Complex is the most visited spot by the tourists coming from
all over the country. Here is a great arrangement for the tourists for
their enjoyment like a mini-safari-park for different type of deer,
Children Park, Boat Journey, Mini Zoo, Hanging Bridge, picnic spots and
at the bottom of the hills artificial lake has been made. Communication
to Meghla is very easy. That's why a lot of tourist makes the way to
Meghla for celebrating their vacations. Lots of small shades are
available in this spot to shelter you from rains in the season of
monsoon and from the hit of the Sun in hot summer days.
It
is just 4 Kilometer away from Bandarban town, 17km from keranihat of
CTG-Cox'sbazar road and 88km from Chittagong. Visitors can hire private
Jeep or auto rickshaw from Bandarban to go to Meghla.Local bus is also
available to go there.
There are two popular bus services are available from Chittagong named “Purobi” and “Purbani”. In every half an hour one Bus left from BahaddarHaat bus terminal. First bus leaves Chittagong at 06:00 A.M. The bus fare is 90 taka per person [August 2012]. It takes around 1.5 - 2 hours to reach Bandarban.
Inside
Meghla there is no arrangement for lunch. You can have snacks only. You
can take lunch packet, if you want to pass whole day there. Outside the
Meghla there are two restaurants with Chinese and Continental food at
Holiday Inn resort and Porjatan Motel. Accommodation facilities are also
available in the resort and the Porjatan Motel.
